Objectives

ASAIHL Conference on Education Innovation for the Knowledge-based Economy: Curriculum, Pedagogy and Technology will provide a platform for government officials, university leaders, industry partners and practitioners to discuss, share and exchange of ideas and practices on introducing undergraduate curriculum that puts learning within and beyond the curriculum at its core, approaches focusing on supporting how students learn and providing them with opportunities to develop skills that will enable them to face the challenges of the 21st century with optimism and confidence.

The main theme of the conference is “Education Innovation for the Knowledge-based Economy: Curriculum, Pedagogy and Technology”.

The Conference also covers the following sub-themes:
  • Curriculum Innovation: Internationalization of curriculum; developing global citizenship; innovation models
  • Pedagogical Innovation: Teaching for transfer and higher order thinking skills; assessment methods
  • Technology Innovation in Education: e-learning and online learning; global classroom
